Pre-Toddler

IMG_2386The pre nursery classroom is all about discovering!  Pre nursery students begin the day singing songs, along with finger and hand motions to warm up and get ready for gross motor skills.  Each child participates in activities that introduce new ideas and experiences through arts and crafts, gluing, coloring, painting, and finger painting to mention a few. This helps foster creativity and curiosity.  This is a time the children get to explore and experience different textures and develop their small muscles and fine motor skills.   The children are also introduced to colors, numbers, letters, shapes, and sizes.

This classroom also encourages gross motor skill development.  We have indoor and outdoor toys where children can climb, crawl and discover ways to enhance their muscles and coordination. This classroom also introduces social skills to the children and helps them interact with one another.  Children will learn each other’s names, and how to interact, share, and communicate with with one another, all while playing and having fun!
